Movie Review: Munjya (2024)

Review: Munjya is a light... Horror comedy Movie which gives you a good blend of horror, comedy and drama. The story is good and simple, the screenplay could have been little bit better as the editing was not crisp, the direction was average and the performances were decent as it was not upto the mark. The reveal of suspense in first half hour was a bad idea as the suspense elements dies so early into the movie. Also, the climax portion felt little bit stretched. Other than that, it had good comedy and horror elements enough to entertain you.

The Challenge of Non-Functional Traffic Lights in Bihar: A Call for Action

Hello World!
In the bustling streets of Bihar, an alarming issue persists — a significant number of traffic lights are out of order. This problem isn't just a minor inconvenience but poses serious risks to public safety and underscores broader governance challenges.
Understanding the Issue
It's estimated that at least half of the traffic lights across Bihar are non-functional at any given time. This situation leads to chaotic intersections where the flow of traffic is determined more by honking horns and assertive maneuvers than by adherence to traffic rules. Pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike face heightened risks of accidents and delays, turning daily commutes into hazardous endeavors.

Roots of the Problem
●Several factors contribute to this predicament. One primary issue is the lack of regular maintenance and repair.Traffic lights, like any infrastructure, require periodic upkeep to ensure they function properly. Without proactive maintenance schedules and adequate funding, these systems inevitably fall into disrepair.
● Moreover, bureaucratic inefficiencies and delays in procurement processes often exacerbate the problem. Even when funds are allocated for repairs, bureaucratic red tape can stall implementation, leaving traffic lights in disrepair for extended periods.

Impact on Public Safety
The consequences of non-functional traffic lights extend beyond mere inconvenience. They compromise public safety in significant ways. Accidents increase at intersections where traffic signals are not operational, leading to injuries and even fatalities. Moreover, the lack of order increases commute times and exacerbates congestion, affecting productivity and quality of life for residents.

Challenges in Governance
Addressing this issue requires a multi-faceted approach. It involves not only allocating adequate resources for maintenance but also streamlining bureaucratic processes to ensure timely repairs. Additionally, there is a need for public awareness campaigns to encourage compliance with traffic rules even in the absence of functioning signals.

A Call for Action and Responsibility
●To tackle the issue of non-functional traffic lights in Bihar, concerted efforts are needed from multiple stakeholders. Government authorities must prioritize infrastructure maintenance and allocate sufficient funds for timely repairs. Civil society organizations and concerned citizens can play a crucial role in advocacy and oversight, ensuring that promises of repair translate into action.

●While we await repairs and improvements in infrastructure, each one of us has a role to play in ensuring road safety. Let's commit to following traffic rules diligently, even in the absence of functioning signals. By respecting pedestrian crossings, yielding to oncoming traffic, and maintaining safe driving speeds, we can collectively mitigate the risks associated with non-functional traffic lights.

●Together, through responsible behavior and advocacy for infrastructure improvements, we can make Bihar's roads safer and more orderly for everyone. Let's drive change, one intersection at a time.

Conclusion
The prevalence of non-functional traffic lights in Bihar is a symptom of larger governance challenges. Addressing this issue requires a commitment to accountability, transparency, and effective public service delivery. By prioritizing infrastructure maintenance and streamlining bureaucratic processes, Bihar can pave the way towards safer, more orderly streets for all its residents. And I request our Government, Transport Minister and CM Mr. Nitish Kumar to look over it..
